Small Bathroom
Small bathrooms range up to 7.7m3*.
To maximise the extraction in a room of this size, you would be looking at a fan with a recommended airflow of 31m3/hr*

Medium Bathroom
Medium bathrooms range from 8.8m3 to 15.4m3*.
To maximise the ventilation extraction in a room of this size, you would be looking at a fan with a recommended airflow of up to 61m3/hr*.

Where should I install my fan?
There are electrical safety zones in a bathroom to consider when installing your extractor fan. In Zone 2 the IP rating of a product needs to be at least IPX4(IP44).
To maximise the effectiveness of the extractor fan within your bathroom it needs to be as close as possible to the source of the moisture but as far away from the source of replacement air as possible.
The duct leading from the vent should be as straight as possible to avoid sharp bends that can impede airflow.
