Sales Director

Based at our head office in Castleford, we are looking to appoint a Sales Director with experieince within the KBB industry to lead our expanidng sales team.

Seniority Level: Board of Directors

 

Purpose of Job:

 

Your responsibility is to achieve our sales strategy. You will be focused on hitting annual targets, building relationships within the sales team and directly looking after our major customers.

You will achieve this by building a highly active front facing team of Area Sales Managers headed by the National Sales Manager, regional managers hunting new business and an account management team looking after the existing customers.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and implement sales strategies
  • Prepare operational and financial sales department reports
  • Oversee the management, learning, and career development of the sales team
  • Directly coordinate cross-selling and joint marketing initiatives to maximize exposure and profitability
  • Execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our market share
  • Analysing the market to understand the customers
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships directly with key customers
  • Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts
  • Analysing key stats on the team’s performance, number of calls per day, revenue per account, conversation rates, pipeline forecasts etc
  • Manage and grow the sales team
  • Achieve sales revenue targets monitoring volume growth but especially a stronger emphasis on gross margin and profitability for each team member.
  • Achieve qualitative call cycles to ensure all accounts are managed in an efficient way, to maximise our market share.
  • Actively develop and maintain strong business relationships that identify growth with new and existing accounts.
  • Work collaboratively and cross functionally with the other departments to create, develop and deliver promotional campaigns with individual retail accounts that are consistent with their business and marketing activities
  • Communicate with the board of directors to ensure requirements are constantly being met and maintained effectively

 

Experience/Qualifications:

 

  • Must have a strong understanding of the KBB market
  • Must have had experience of building a territory sales team
  • Must have strong experience in building call plans and call rotors.
  • Must have good analytical experience with reporting from a CRM system
  • Must be great at managing people

 

Key Skills/ Attributes:

 

  • Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets
  • Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager or sales and marketing director Demonstrable experience in the sales process with the ability to eliminate objections and develop solutions to close the sale
  • Entrepreneurial flair with a demonstrable track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Innovative and resilient with strong problem-solving skills
  • Persuasive and affable presenter with the ability to engage and inspire subordinates, peers and customers alike
  • A good communicator with an ability to operate professionally through all levels of the Company
  • Assertive, and confident both written and oral – via email, phone and face to face
  • Commercially aware with high levels of analytical ability
  • Highly motivated and results-driven with a passion to succeed in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to organise, prioritise and effectively multi-task daily and meet deadlines

 

The Ideal Candidate:

 

  • 5+ years new business experience in KBB Market
  • History of hitting revenue target for the past years
  • Ability to build a team of area sales managers and regional managers
  • Detailed call plan structure
  • Good use of analytical skills using CRM system (Sales Force)
  • Dynamic, entrepreneurial, independent

Key Account Manager

Purpose of Job:

 

You are responsible for increasing the company’s profit through sales and cost management. You will achieve this by maximising all opportunities to develop sales across a specific number of existing major accounts by using excellent influencing skills to develop effective business plans and strategies to grow a “stable” of products.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 

· Achieve fiscal targets for sales revenue, volume and gross margin.

· Achieve qualitative performance targets around customer service levels.

· Actively develop and maintain relationships with specific high value accounts accounts

· Create a development plan by account to incorporate forecasts based on business and marketing plans.

· Work collaboratively and cross functionally with the other departments to create, develop and deliver promotional campaigns with individual retail accounts that are consistent with their business and marketing activities.

· Communicate with the other internal stakeholders to ensure account requirements are constantly being met and maintained effectively.

· Continually source marketplace information to create offers that will increase company margins and beat the competitors.

· Identify trends, forecast demand and provide specific account information to senior management of performance against targets and forecasts.

 

Experience/Qualifications:

 

  • Experience of 5+ years in account management
  • Experience of 5+ years working with major brands
